Very well kept professional staff. Wouldn't visit again for the spa facilities. Gym very good. Slightly old style hotel - wasnt suited to us as 25 year olds. Grounds and room too warm - again not suited to younger guests.

I was so impressed at the value of my package at Ashdown. It was relatively easy to reach - a train from London and a taxi at around £15. I went with my boyfriend and we were upgraded to a better room on arrival. The staff were lovely and gentle and seemed to genuinely love their jobs. The room was lovely with a lovely view and the spa was clean and really relaxing. I enjoyed my massage only wish it was longer and loved the fact you could go and have lunch in the bar with robes on. The pool and jacuzzi were really warm so nice when it's still cold outside. And the restaurant was top notch we had a delicious dinner and breakfast included. If you have time definitely explore the grounds - the secret garden and the jogging trails were lovely and the grounds back on to a Llama park which you can get into free with your hotel booking receipt! My only bug bear was the bed. It was a double composed of two singles zipped together and so I kept rolling into the middle - but considering we got a better room, it's a minuscule complaint Really impressed with facilities and staff - keep up the amazing work!

Not a real spa retreat. Spa facilities are limited and part of a country club. Small, overcrowded. Separate from the hotel and have to walk there. Go to Alexander House instead!

Fabulous venue, very impressive restaurant, amazing breakfast, lovely grounds. Spa treatments were lovely but the pool/ whirlpool needed a bit of TLC, and there weren't many loungers. Staff were lovely throughout, and nothing was too much trouble.

Wonderfully relaxing spa day for myself and my sister who was visiting from the States. She was delighted with her treatment, the whole spa effect and the overnight stay with a gorgeous meal. We were both very impressed with all the staff and the facilities in general.

I'm very happy with my stay. We had some issue with the water pressure, but we received a £40 compensation. Also the restaurant and spa weren't in the same building with our room. In this cold weather it's not very appealing to walk outside in a robe and slippers.

Such a beautiful location, the room was lovely with a complimentary paper. The food was delicious even though breakfast was a little chaotic. A great relaxing weekend overall.

Although we had a lovely day on a personal level, I got the feeling this was a pool turned into a spa, the pool room had a lot of peeling paint and mould, the loungers in the website photos had been replaced with plastic legged ones that were too long meaning to walk past them you had to try and keep your balance on the lapping edge of the pool, the general decor was very scuffed. The food was amazing as was the hot hottub! Needs a good refurb.

This is the third time that I have enjoyed a spa day with you, and the things that stick out as being good are the friendly staff, very good lunch and quiet amenities. The things I don't like are the limited changing area - only one toilet between all of us - and general tired look to everything. The ladies changing rooms really do need a re-vamp.
I had a treatment this time too and was a bit disappointed that after my treatment when I was trying to 'rest' in the quiet area, the was a constant flow of noisy people walking by. This really ought to be a restricted area and no accessible by anyone except people undergoing treatments. It was cold and not very relaxing.

Nice place, will defo go back enjoyed the golf courses, really good, my wife enjoyed the jogging tracks, and the lunch was spot on. As was the spa, and the grounds are really nice. Only live fifteen mins away so come next year might make more times, as it was only £45 for the day, last minute vouchers.com.
