Tylney Hall Hotel part of Elite Hotels

Tylney Hall truly is the ideal retreat for a relaxing pamper break. Set around a charming courtyard, complete with fountain, the Health Suite has everything needed for a relaxing break. Our Beauty Salon offers a wide range of treatments, individually tailored to your own needs and our professional, knowledgeable and helpful therapists are on hand to offer any advice you may need.

Tylney Hall is a Grade II listed mansion with beautiful gardens of significant historic interest. The current house dates from 1898 and served as a hospital during the First World War, later becoming a private school. Today, it’s one of England’s most comfortable and characterful country house hotels.

For summer days, the outdoor pool, tennis courts and croquet lawn compete for your attention. In winter the gym and indoor pool, which features a whirlpool, offer a more comfortable workout. There is an 18-hole golf course adjacent to the hotel. Horse riding, archery and clay pigeon shooting can easily be arranged. A sauna, game of snooker or simply a stroll around the beautiful gardens and wooded trails can be yet another way to relax at Tylney Hall. Set in 66 acres of parkland and gardens, we will be delighted to accommodate a wide variety of leisure activities.

Describe your visit to Tylney Hall Hotel
An absolutely fantastic break with my daughter. We enjoyed every aspect from lunch in the lounge, to the treatment, the excellent evening meal as well as the accommodation which was faultless and set in the beautiful grounds.

Lovely hotel but not a spa hotel. This is a hotel with a spa and swimming pool. The swimming pool and facilities are very disappointing considering how grand the hotel is. It is also very disjointed from the hotel rooms. The rooms are very old but lovely and the staff are very accommodating. The spa, or beauty salon as it's called, is small but pleasant enough. The treatments were good but it's not really comfortable or practical to walk to the pool or treatment rooms with a robe. You have to walk out into the courtyard to get to them. Not great in the cold. We didn't even have slippers in our room but found out later you can request them at the front desk. The meal we had here was lovely and my only criticism would be the overload of flavours in one sitting.

We had a great weekend trip, the place is beautiful, the staff friendly and our dinner in the evening was great. Our treatments were top class as well. Only thing I'd say is that this is more of a country house with spa facilities than a full on spa. It was perfect for what we wanted but those wanting a full spa retreat may be better looking elsewhere.

Amazing hotel, the grounds and hotel itself is beautiful, the food is some of the best food I have ever tasted and with the piano playing in the background it is wonderful

Lovely old building - but can't really be sold as a spa weekend. It just happens to have a few of the items you would expect to find at a spa! The food was amazing and the staff were helpful and friendly. The issue came with the fact the jacuzzi was cold - just linked to the pool. The sauna barely had room for 1 person. There was no steam rooms etc. By all accounts my gf's treatments were great though. A great place to stay - but shouldn't be advertised as a spa weekend until they bring the spa amenities up to scratch.

The hotel is fantastic itself and the food and service is extraordinary. The spa was not as our expectations, we though bigger and more complete than actually was. So at the end we did not enjoy as much the "weekend spa". In my view, if you are looking for a great hotel with good service and good food, this is the place; but if you are looking to relax in a spa, definitely I do not recommend this place

We loved the hotel but our rooms were on the top floor of the old house and were very hot all night. I used the fan provided but for the prices charged I feel that there should be air conditioning. Otherwise a good stay.

We had a great time here, but upon arrival the room wasn't ready and the trainee member of staff could not give us a time when it would be. Additionally I was charged twice for the deal, although this was reimbursed on check out. The massage was lovely, very relaxing. However, they need some sound proof doors as I could hear everything, including the receptionist typing! I had hoped there would be more spa facilities, including a sauna and steam room within the main spa area. Additionally the hot tub was the same temperature as the pool - we would have preferred it hotter!
But overall, we had a fantastic stay here. The grounds are beautiful, beds comfortable and food delicious!

Lovely lovely place. A real escape from the world. The grounds are wonderful. The staff are lovely, we didn't finish out afternoon tea and the scones were sent to our Tom.

However, it is not cheap for extras, e.g. for a bottle of wine at dinner. Staff were attentive but could be a bit slow, for example we had to wait a few minutes to be greeted and seated for breakfast. A member of staff also spilt a glass of champagne over me and my friend, they were very apologetic and brought another one but we did not get any compensation.
